Description: Hi and welcome to our website! I'll give you a quick intro of who we are and what we do, then I'll tell you how we might be able to help you with your project.
JB Wood Construction, Inc. is a small, family-owned construction business that was founded in 1995. We specialize in residential new construction and renovation. We design and build custom homes, construct room additions of all types, and do kitchen and bathroom remodeling. We serve the Portland Metro area, Salem, Newberg, and McMinnville.
What We Can Do For You
Here's a list of the benefits you'll receive when you hire us to complete your next home improvement project:
Design Help - If you're building an addition or new home, we offer design and plan drawing services usually much cheaper than hiring an architect or designer.
Problem Solving - Every remodeling project has its problems and challenges. Most are unforeseen "glitches" that crop up during the course of the project. We have an almost uncanny ability to work around, under, or over the problems that arise.
Flexibility - Because we put you first, we're very flexible. If, during the course of the project, you want to change or add something, we're very workable and will do our best to accommodate you.
Experience - Since I graduated from high school in 1972, I've been involved full-time in the construction industry. I know construction and you'll have my vast knowledge at your disposal when you hire us to remodel or renovate your home.
Save You Money - Because we're a smaller company, our overhead is much lower than that of the larger remodeling companies in the Portland area. We pass those savings on to you, our customer.
What We're Not
I hope this doesn't scare you off, but I just need to get it out there so you know...
We're not the cheapest contractors out there.
There, I said it.
If you're looking for "bargain basement" prices on your addition or remodel, we're not your guys! We just don't do that.
You see, we're a legitimate contractor. We have a license and a bond, which, by the way, costs a lot of money. We also have liability insurance which protects you from loss.
We also take pride in our work. Like Mike Holmes on HGTV says, "We do it right the first time". Doing things right and with integrity costs more than slapping it together.
So if you want to hire those unlicensed, unskilled, and unethical guys to remodel your home, go ahead. Hopefully Mike Holmes will be around to fix all the problems your home will have.
It's All About Value
If you're still reading this, good. That means you actually care about your home. You don't want to ruin your most costly investment by hiring people who don't care about it.
I said earlier that we weren't the cheapest contractor around, but I forgot to mention that we aren't the most expensive either.
If you could get bids from every good, honest, quality-conscious contractor in Portland, we'd probably fall somewhere in the lower half of the pack. So in terms of value, you're actually getting more from us.
I'd be glad to meet with you, let you describe your vision for your home, and give you a free bid. Oh, and that's something else we do. We give you a firm bid. We won't come back later and say, "It cost us a little more to do your remodel, so we need more money".
