joeI started welding fresh out of high school and became a certified welder early in my career rebuilding rail cars. I really liked it but the money wasn't paying what I was hoping for. So in 1996 I decided to try my hand at roofing and I joined a small roofing company. It quickly dawned on me that there was much more to roofing than just hammering nails into shingles, so

I decided to signficnatly expand my knowlege by learning carpentry and framing. Understanding the underpinings of what goes into building a house gives me a significant advantage over other roofers who have never had this type of training.

In 2005 I founded J Adams Roofing with one guiding principal that continues to guide me, my employees and all of my contractors to this day:
