Work Description: install ductless split Air Conditioner / Heat Unit
Comments: Summary: I had a very positive experience with HVAC Plus. I highly recommend them for installation of air conditioning or heating systems for your home.Details: My wife and I recently moved into a new home with our two (very young) children. Suffice to say the entire moving process has been really crazy, especially considering that 2021 (and now 2022) has made all kinds of basic things, related to moving your family to a new home, really challenging. The air conditioning & heating solution that HVAC Plus installed into our home was one of the few aspects of our crazy move-in that was totally seamless.
Pricing
My wife and I did some comparison shopping and we feel that the price was competitive with other vendors. We did not go with the cheapest one, so the unknown in this equation is "could we have saved money if we went with the other vendor?" Now that the entire process is done, I can definitively say that the installation and service was well worth the price. I would also like to note that there were a few points in the process where HVAC Plus was very helpful in explaining to me every aspect of the quote. I'm not an HVAC expert and I've never lived through an install like this before (I've only ever had through-the-window air conditioners), so this was definitely one aspect of the process that is really important to me. HVAC PLUS really shined through on this point. After educating me on the equipment and installation, they then were patient with the customizations I requested which resulted in me being able to slightly reduce my total bill for the project. I like reducing my bill whenever and whererever I can. Thank you HVAC Plus!
On-Site installation
The team that came on site to do the install was prompt, friendly, and efficient. They kept me in the loop from time to time as to what they were doing so that really kept my mind at ease. My installation required work to be done inside the home as well as on the rooftop. There was absolutely zero debris or any kind of refuse left over. The HVAC Plus crew was really careful with everything inside my home. I've worked with other contractors in the past and I often felt a little bit left in the dark as to what they were doing and where we are in the process. I don't need a minute-by-minute schedule; I just need a general idea of what's going to happen once in a while at important points during the project. HVAC Plus delivered 100% in this regard. On top of this there were some complicated aspects of this project which involved moving heavy equipment to the rooftop to perform a portion of the install there. The crew took care of this seamlessly. I'm writing this review 2 weeks after the installation is completed. There have been 4 very rainy days since then and there have been zero leaks. Their on-site installation crew gets the job done well and with quality.
Post-install support
Regarding the post-install, there were a few notable things that happened. I didn't totally understand how the rebate was supposed to work, so I initially misunderstood the pricing. HVAC Plus was really patient with me in providing further detail about how that aspect was supposed to work, and how I'd receive my rebate. The people at HVAC Plus have a lot of patience, and I really appreciate that. Aside from this, HVAC Plus took the time to explain just about every aspect of the system to me. This is a level of service that I've never experience before from any contractor-- these people are literally the kind of local business that you want to support because they are real people (not some giant corporation) and they treat you like a real person.
Conclusion
I would 100% recommend HVAC Plus to any person who wants to get an AC and/or Heating system installed in their home. They provide an amazing level of service. If my wife and I ever need to upgrade our system or if we do some kind of renovation, we will definitely hire HVAC Plus again. Thank you HVAC Plus!
