Work Description: Mike P. came to replace two switches in a bathroom. The original wiring appeared to be done by a 'wanna be' handyman! Mike was diligent in finding the cause of the mis-wired switches and successfully corrected it.

Work Description: Mike caked back immediately after searching for an electrician. When I explained to him what the problem was and needed an estimate he said it was a 'service' call and that would be $125 to come out. I was not there but my girls were. He changed 2 outlets but said he needed to come back the next day Thursday.I met him at 1 o'clock at that time he ran the wires to fix the electrical problem I don't understand why he couldn't do it the first day in addition he told me it was going to be $200 on Wednesday but on Thursday he gave me a bill for $300 for a total of $425. He drilled a hole through the floor which I really didn't want him to do any went through the ceiling beams in the basement I don't know if that caused any damage. He did not clean up after himself and left a mess at all the outlets where he was working. I had my daughter call him back so I can show him that he didn't clean up and he indicated that it was his assistant that was supposed to clean up. I'm not sure why I had to pay the extra money but he did fix the electrical problem that I was having in my house which I was very happy for. Mike was very polite very business professional and was courteous. I am not sure why I couldn't get a contract of sorts from him so I know exactly what I was paying. I do understand the New Jersey that anything over $500 needs a contract so I guess when you have an emergency you're caught between a rock and a hard place if you don't have it set in stone and you're at their mercyall in all Mike know what he was doing as far as the electrical went and I would recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work done

In electrical, plumbing and hvac we get calls everyday for repair work, these are called service calls. A standard charge plus material used is hoe this is billed. It is necessary to pay for time, overhead and business operating costs. How could i give a price on something over the phone with only information the customer has given me over the phone? This is quite different then a customer calling for a new project which is then based on a contract. The job was completed on a second day because again this was a service call, and i had rushed there to help her out even though i was swamped with other work. I drilled a hole through the floor into the wall to re- feed an outlet, what other way known to man is there to get a wire from point a to point b. Homes and buildings have holes everywhere for placement of pipes, wires, and duct work. No damage was done and all and all an honest price was given.

Work Description: Mike did a service change, air conditioning units, and finished a basement.
