Work Description: Removal of old faucets in sink and bath and replacing with new fixtures. Also look at toilet that has a possible leak or needs rotor rooting.
Comments: Funky Plumbing contacted us within minutes of posting so we couldn't ask for a quicker response when it comes to making an appointment.The young man who came out to perform the services requested showed up on time, was very courteous and got to work right away.
He had to call the owner to get a quote for the scope of the work which I thought was very high considering the few items he had to check. He did replace the parts that he could, we didn't have all the parts needed to fix the sink faucets, no fault of theirs. However the eschusons on the fixtures were not placed tight against the wall and I had to ask him if he had an eschuson for the shower head which he forgot to attach. They are coming tomorrow to finish the job now that I have all the necessary parts and said they would make the adjustments to the tub fixtures to our satisfaction.
While on the job, the plumber discovered a small leak in our irrigation line which he took the time to fix. We are most grateful for his keen eye and willingness to turn the wrench a couple of good times to stop the leak!
We also asked that a toilet be checked which he did, however he didn't have the proper equipment to determine if the pipe had a leak in it or not so that means that the toilet has been lifted off the wax ring for several days until I got the parts in to complete the sink repairs. If he had had the equipment, a determination could have been made as to whether or not we have a leak and a time scheduled to fix it. Perhaps tomorrow when the other work is finished, they can work on the toilet issue. All in all, they are a good company but wish they had parts and equipment to complete a service call. Also wish the price for services was a bit more reasonable but know everyone is hurting in this economy and suppose they are making up for lack of customers. I would use this company again.
