After being told and quoted by several other companies I'd have to replace the entire system, Keith assured me he could replace just the condenser/ compressor unit without having to replace the evaporator coil or entire system! Work Description: Replaced thermostat
Comments: DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE WORK ON YOUR SYSTEM I needed new thermostat for my heat pump. I called Emergency Air Repair and spoke with Keith Cutler. I explained I have a heat pump and need a specific thermostat for that. He stated he understood. The person he sent out seemed unfamiliar with heat pumps and the thermostat itself but he assured me he installed it properly. Within a week the thermostat literally caught fire and burned up. When I called Keith about it he said no way it was installed wrong and that I should contact the thermostat manufacturer and get a replacement. He told me I had a bad attitude and refused to consider his worker screwed up.Houston TX

Work Description: Evaporator Coil replacement
Comments: After having two other companies come out to diagnose/ determine what the issue was with our AC system, we decided to get 3rd opinion. The first told us we needed a new evaporator coil, and since it was older type freon, we were told we needed to replace the entire system. $8400. The 2nd company told us the same thing, but quoted $6800. Keith, with Texashomepros/ Emergency Air Repair, discussed the issue and told us he could replace just the evaporator coil and the freon, and install a coil that was compatible with either the new freon or the old, and to only repair what was necessary at that time, as we did not have the means to replace the entire system right now! He was honest and truly HELPED us, not just someone trying to sell us something. We spent a fraction of what the others quoted, and when we need to replace the rest of the equipment, it will be far more affordable, thanks to Keith! We are customers for life! Thank you! they mix refrigerants than try to sale you equipment
they are magicians they can tell how much Freon a unit took with their gauge and do not weight the Freon tank they need to be put out of business before they cause and explosion, and they add Freon before explaning you have a leak charge than after it do not work tell you have a leak

Work Description: Remove and replace air handler
Comments: Job was completed. Informed keith of a small issue with the installation of the emergency shutoff float switch. Slack of the electrical wires connecting the switch is laying inside the drip pan. I think this is an electrical hazard should the drip pan fills with water possibly causing a short and ruining a newly installed air handler or starting a fire in the attic. To-date, still waiting for the company to dress up the wires and get it off the drip pan.Rosharon TX

Comments: We had horrible experience with so called good company but we eventually got our money back and when the so called good company came and uninstalled their unit...they took some of our stuff that they did not even install!! My husband found Keith and after talking to him on phone..I asked him a very important question and he answered honestly that I cried and I knew he was the one I wanted cause he could have sold me more stuff..but he did not..anyway I highly recommend Keith and his crew..We are so happy with our unit that Relient informs us we are below the "efficient home" in our neighborhood!!Highlands TX

Comments: Due to Freon leaks in existing unit 10 yrs, old...I opted to go with completely new HVAC system to reap the benefits of the Energy Efficiency. Keith Cutler, beat the other companies with his low price by 30-40%. Most of the quotation was done over the phone, but Keith came out to my house as I wanted to meet him in person. I can not say enough good thing about his professionalism, and work ethics. He worked with us until we got the unit that fit our needs and pocket book. His goal was for us to be happy!!! And we are. His installer Jeff and his helper were hard workers, new the equipment and were in contact with Keith the entire time. Answered any questions....stayed until 10:30pm to get the job finished. Comments: Extremely competitive pricing. When I looked around they were the cheapest by far. I was shocked by the care and attention to detail these guys showed during the whole job.Work was done on time and in a professional manner. We got all permits on time.
Because it was a new installation I spent alit of time with the technician (Jeff) who studied HVAC stuff at uh. He was extremely knowledgeable and worked with me to include our ideas in the installation and also got the job done right. I was impressed by Jeff's professional and courteous approach and would strongly recommend the quality of his work.
These guys didn't leave until the job was finished. My wife called up because she couldn't figure out the IPhone controlled thermostat they installed and they came straight out to help check everything was not only set up right but explained to us in a way we could understand.
These guys are awesome. Highly recommended!

Comments: I was completely satisfied with the company. I shopped and obtained 3 quotes for the replacement system I needed, and was amazed that EAR was almost HALF of the highest bid! Once agreed upon the price and time of service, the crew arrived promptly, with the agreed equipment and did a professional installation. They were very courteous and even removed the old equipment and packaging from the new equipment! They explained the operation of the new equipment and what to expect. The Manager called afterwards to follow up with a reminder of warranty information and to confirm our satisfaction. Work Description: HVAC unit not cooling. Replaced the system. The crew worked diligently in a tight enclosed attic until the job was done. It was exceedingly hot. Cleaned up, gave me the paperwork to the new unit. Explained how long it would take to cool the house and asked if I had any questions.
Comments: Scheduled appointment. Punctual. Supervisor came out with a member of his crew. Assessed and gave recommendations. Explained in detail what could be done now and the ramifications down the road. After the initial agreement, went a step further and found a deal that allowed me to replace the entire system at a cost that I could afford. Also explained warranty specs in detail. Supervisor called after the crew had left to further explain what I could expect from the unit. Emergency Air Repair has my business and I will refer anyone asking to this company. Excellent customer service skills.
