Work Description: Sink Replacement

Comments: I called to have my sink removed and replaced with a similar sink. I received a prompt callback and an offer to come see the sink. It has been my experience that plumbing and other contract professionals attempt to charge whatever they can get away with, so I wanted to understand the pricing methodology before giving my address. I asked for an hourly rate. That is a question every contract professional should be able to readily answer. Maybe there is a base charge and an hourly fee after that, but to just say we charge $X without explanation is not right. I myself am a contract professional. I usually also charge fixed fees for work. But if a client asks my billing rate I tell them readily. And if they prefer to be charged hourly, I will do it readily.

I did not hire this contract professional so I cannot comment on work quality. I have no reason to doubt it would have been fine.
