Description: Crowned Woodworks is a four-person firm that has been in business since 1985, designing and building high-end custom cabinetry for kitchens, libraries, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The firm's specialties are cabinetry, detailed molding work, and custom doors, although they are also known for completely renovating bathrooms, including tile and marble work. An independent contractor is used for installations, all of which are supervised by the firm's principal, Stephen DeSouza. DeSouza is accommodating and friendly and he enjoys working with designers and collaborating on designs. Most projects, in fact, are through designers, but DeSouza does work directly with some private clients. Though a small firm, Crowned Woodworks has a big reputation. Their work has been published in Interior Design magazine and most recently in the October/November 2000 issue of the British Vogue.
