Whole House Inspections

Whole house inspections save money by preventing serious problems from occurring. During a Whole House Inspection, we go through your house to inspect all plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, tubs, showers, faucets, and water heaters) and all visible gas connections and cut off valves, water lines, supply lines and emergency water cut off valves. It is important to make sure these items are functioning properly in order to have no leaks or unexpected surprises that may damage your home.

Water line repairs

Water line repairs may be needed anywhere on your potable water system from the city meter to anywhere in your house because of leaks or worn pipes. Cotton Plumbing is equipped to repair or replace any water line in your water system. We will thoroughly explain to you upfront the procedures needed to repair the leaking pipes.

Whole house re-piping

Whole house re-piping may be needed when your home has multiple leaks or has had multiple costly repairs on the water lines. When this is necessary, we use state of the art materials to re-pipe your home. Your whole system will be new. When we re-pipe the potable water system in the home it includes emergency cut off valves and supply lines to all fixtures.

Repairs and replacement on all plumbing fixtures
Our technicians can repair or replace any of your plumbing fixtures, toilets, faucets, water heaters, tubs and showers. When we diagnose the repair needed, we always offer you the choice of repairing the fixture or replacing the fixture. The choice is always yours.

Tankless and domestic water heater repair and replacement
Tankless water heaters are designed to give unlimited hot water without the worry of the water ever going cold once the hot water has arrived at the fixture. We provide Rinnai and Noritz gas tankless water heaters. Our technicians are qualified, educated in the repair, maintenance and installation of both brands of tankless water heaters.
For domestic tank-style water heaters, we provide State and Bradford White.

Water softeners, filtration and Reverse Osmosis systems
Due to the quality of water coming out of our taps, water softeners are important in today’s economy. Water Softeners are designed to protect the health of your house, your fixtures and water pipes. Carbon filters are designed for the health of the consumer giving you the cleanest water for drinking and bathing. There is nothing better than not having to buy bottled water.

Sanitary sewer stoppages, repairs and replacement

Sanitary sewer stoppages can be over whelming they always seem to happen when you least expect it. The causes can be a variety of things, roots that have gotten in the line, separation due to poor installation, or the line does not have the proper incline for continuous flow in the right direction. Our technicians can troubleshoot the problem and advise you in the best way to resolve the problem either by repair or replacement.
Repairing the line usually consists of finding the line area where repair is needed, excavating the area and repairing the line.
Replacement is excavating the entire trench from the house to the city tap and replacing the whole line.

Gas line test and repairs

We are qualified to perform gas line testing and repairs. Gas line tests usually occur after you report a gas leak in your home to your gas provider. The gas test consists of installing a gauge on the gas line at the point of entry, pressuring the line up with air and testing for leaks. If required, all gas emergency cut off valves and gas lines can be replaced, and water heaters brought up to code to protect your home. Sometimes, however, the house is in accord with the state and city codes and minor gas repair is required. Any time a gas line is repaired the whole gas system needs to be tested for your safety.
