Work Description: The work done was sanding and painting over wall paper in kitchen and hallway. Prepping was not done properly which left lots of cleanup for the customer.. This was not a professional job. I will never use the Internet to find a contractor again. A valuable learning experience for me that I shall remember.
Comments: I was referred to Colors of Life Painting to add on to my deck and he convinced me that the pre existing deck needed to be torn down and rebuilt. I agreed to proceed with the demolition and reconstruction of the new deck with a room addition and he let me know that he can complete the work starting that Wednesday and finish the following Monday. He came by the day before the job was supposed to be started and and I signed the contract. Then it rained that Thursday and Friday, so the contractor couldn't come back Saturday, Sunday or Monday, allowing the rain to dry out. They returned Tuesday to finish after the rain dried up and began the construction at that point. They worked up until Thursday, Anthony came and asked for a payment. I paid them $2500 for materials, then they came back Tuesday for the remainder, $1200 to pay the crew. After I paid for both invoices, he left the project with nothing more than the framing done. I attempted several times in the following days to contact him again without any success after they failed to return to finish. And, in the interim, I had a friend who was a contractor come out and look at the framing to assess the existing structure. He found that the framing was unstable, bouncing, different sized windows, the wrong headers, the steps were wrong, not enough slope on the roof to drain rain water, the fascia boards were done improperly and they left trash behind. I had to borrow money to hire another contractor to tear down the deck and rebuild the entire thing because there was literally no usable or fixable portion of what Colors of Life did. I spent a total of $3,700 to pay Anthony and had to pay additional $6,000 to have this project redone by another contractor. I would not recommend this contractor to do any type of work for anyone in the future due to poor craftsmanship and unprofessional behavior.Mastic Beach NY

Comments: This is not the company to do business with whatsoever! After making numerous phone calls and text messages, the owner never returned my call for me to inform him of an issue I was having with the repair....he never followed up with me to try to rectify the problem! I regret hiring this company and will never seek business with them again!Walterboro SC
