OUR PROCESS
We begin our process by trying to understand the project and also the relation to the project that the homeowner wishes to have. We believe this effort to be crucial for the success of it.Defining the scope of a project is often times difficult and time consuming, but it usually pays off.
It is also important to understand how does the homeowner wish to be involved in the project. Will he or she be deciding on matters such as colors, hardware, etc, or some of it will be left to the discretion of the contractor.
Once the project begins, we try to manage expectations. Depending on the length of the project, these expectations are heavily influenced by a cycle of highs and lows. Projects can have a disruptive effect on a household routine,which is offset by the visual realization that the project is having a positive outcome on the household.
We offer to work in two different ways. We can present you with a traditional bid, or we offer to work on a cost plus basis. We charge a percentage over labor and services and a smaller percentage on hardware and materials. We feel this system has the advantage of being transparent, and it also prompts a more cooperative effort between contractor and homeowner.
We work with professional crews and subcontractors.Because we are fully bilingual our communication with our subs is strong and ends up benefiting the project.
