Work Description: Remove carpet and replace with hard wood red oak throughout the house. Also redo staircase with wood treads n risers and add rot iron. Finally sand and re stain exsisting floors downstairs to match rest of new floors installed.
Comments: Less than a year after completion of our project with him , certain steps on my staircase (that was redone with solid wood) had worn down bare spots. Not every step, just certain ones. No other places on the floors or steps are wearing down. I mean you would expect them to last more than a year. Called and ask about his "warranty" and he was extremely edvasive. Finally said he would need to come by and look at it and maybe I haven't been maintaining only certain steps on my staircase properly. Not a problem for me, cause we didn't pay 14k just to let only certain steps fade down to bare wood in less than a year. No other place on the floors or stairs has worn down to bare wood. Didnt hear from him in the next 2 months after that. Then my phone rings!! He says oh I called you by mistake and hangs up.We had to go back and correct him on a couple things during the process as well. He redone our staircase railings leading up to the stairs and when I got home....one railings was at a completely different angle than the other!! I mean it was blatantly obvious!! He tried trimming the bottom of the staircase that meets the floors, which is rounded off, with part wood trim/part rubber mold that was stained. It looked horrible and didn't even match up....so we had to tell him to remove that and do it again. Also, if you take a chance on him....be extremely specific on what you need done. Every lil detail needs to be in writting. He will come back and say you never told him about that then ask for more money. He will be the cheapest but not by that much, I advise you look somewhere else for a few bucks more.

Work Description: He replaced steps to our second floor and put some hardwood floors in a couple of rooms in the house.
