Work Description: Hardwood floor installation and refinishing
Comments: Hired them for a fairly large job in 2019, refinished kitchen and den area existing hardwood floor, and installed new hardwood on the rest 1st floor and entire 2nd floor, plus stairs.The boss did the quoting, visit and evaluation in the beginning, then left one guy finishing the job without showing up until payment time.
Problems and response from the boss:
1) There was a large stain mark left in the dinner room because a fridge was not moved out. But the mark would stay was not communicated before hand. Being a homeowner, how would you know? The guy did the job on site say "it won't be a problem."
Response: When showing him this issue at the final inspection, the boss said he could not fix it without refinish the entire room, of course I have to pay again, which I agreed later on. But he just stopped responding my calls and texts.
2) the areas bridging from room to another room were not even, both from hardwood to hardwood, and hardwood to tiles.
Response: those could not be fixed because the pieces of wood bridging different areas were clued down. Later on I learned that, it could be done, but just was going to labor intense. But why they didn't make those piece even to begin with?
3) stain splashes on walls and base board
Response: the boss said, in the quotation, I already told you we are not responsible for those issues.
Conclusion: I've not listed all issues, but just the major ones. I will NOT recommend such an irresponsible company, especially for them not responding to fix the issue even I agreed to pay more.

Comments: We used Art Flooring to install new wood flooring on the first floor and to refinish the steps and second floor flooring. They were prompt arrive, polite, very efficient and they did a great job right on time and at the price quoted. We plan to use them again.Grafton WI

Work Description: installed and finished about 1700sq ft of 3/4 hickory hardwood
Comments: This is the very first time that I have been impressed enough by ANY contractor to bother leaving a review here. I am amazed that there are companies like this still around. Robert (the owner) gave me a price that was very reasonable. Horatio (the craftsman installer) was absolutely astonishing... and it takes a LOT to impress me; his work ethic while having a meticulous attention to detail - would put 99% of people to shame. The quality of the install and finish was absolutely exceptional. I cannot recommend Art Flooring highly enough! these guys will amaze you!

Work Description: Art Flooring & Construction sanded an entire level of oak floors and then re-stained and varnished them and installed an entire floor.
Comments: I would recommend Art Flooring & Construction without reservation. Their quality was exceptional and their price was lower than anyone else we could find. They are very professional people and Robert is a very nice guy and explains everything.-
