Work Description: hanging a lamp
Comments: He did not know what he was doing. It took 6 hrs which included his leaving the house twice to get things he needed in order to do the job.He used a hook and rubber cement to secure the lamp to the ceiling. When I asked him about using a mollie or some sort of anchor he said something about the difficulty of drilling through concrete.(???) He finally hung the lamp and said I could just tack up the cord to the ceiling by myself and to turn the light off I would have to unplug it from the electrical outlet. Within 1 hour of hanging the lamp it fell and shattered. I called him and he said he would reimburse me for the lamp (229$). I didn't even bring up the 90$ fee and wasted Saturday that this debacle cost me. I have emailed and called him numerous times and I get no response to my emails and "I'll send the check at the end of the week" nonsense responses to my phone calls. I have contacted the Consumers Affairs Department and they are following up on this matter.-
