Comments: Great customer service and very knowledgeable! This company is actually about its customers and not a profit. We were having problems with our AC and had another competitor company came out to repair and they suggested a whole new system. We decided to hire Austin handyman to handle installing a new one. Within 5 minutes of the meeting, Austin handyman suggested that the system does not need replaced and fixed the issue of why it wasn't working correctly. 2 months later in the middle of summer and our AC is still working great! Comments: Austin Handyman 512 is a wonderful company with friendly and knowledgeable employees! They were referred to me by my home warranty company after a different company was unable to diagnose the problem. My home was not cooling and at one point my house got up to 91 degrees! As soon as Johan came and looked at my system he found the issue and helped me to get the home warranty company to cover nearly a 1/4 of the cost of a brand new A/C. They also replaced the 34 year old furnace at the same time, which we desperately needed after last winter we struggled to keep our house warm. While we waited just a couple days for the parts to come in they let us use a window unit to cool our house, and with a 2 month old and 100+ degree days, this was a life saver. I could not have asked for better customer care. Clean, courteous, and efficient. What more could you want!Austin TX

Comments: Austin Handyman came and worked on my AC a few months ago and did a great job! Right after the visit, I asked Johan to take a look at a few things with my water heater as well. He said that other folks in his company specialize in that and asked if I could send an email to his company with the work I was wanting done and he could get me a quote. He said he wouldn't charge me another service fee when they came out. I was fine with that as I wasn't in a rush to get the water heater looked at since there weren't any immediate or pressing issues with it. I sent the email but did not receive a response. Approximately 2 weeks later I followed up with email but got no response to that either. A week or so after that I called Johan. He had said he did not receive the emails. I forwarded the email to him while I was on the phone with him and he said he received it and would get back to me. I did not hear back from him. That was over 2 weeks ago. I got an automated email today asking for a review of the company and I'm hoping this communication will finally get them to reach back out.Austin TX

Comments: Our AC wasn’t cooling correctly and they came out to check our unit. Luckily it only needed coolant added! While he was here he mentioned there was a lot of debris in our outside unit which would negate any claims made to our home warranty in the future. They came back upon request and cleaned everything out. I appreciated the heads up! They cleaned everything out and sent me before and after pics when they were done! Johan continued to provide information and finally warranty co paid for complete unit. They finally got approval at noon on a Friday. They still came out knowing it would be a time consuming job, they stayed until completed!!Austin TX

Comments: In November 2018 the owner of this company convinced the priest and maintenance guy at our church that they should replace four working but aging Trane units with what new units. Their understanding was that the units would be replaced with new Trane units. The quote stated “4 tons Ameristar Matching Units by TRANE”. The word Trane was capitalized in the quote, and so the church folks believed they would get Trane units. The finance council requested competitive quotes, but no surprise, Trane and American Standard quotes from another company were much higher. Unfortunately, Ameristar is a low cost (imported I believe) ALTERNATIVE to Trane – or as the company owner told me “like comparing a Toyota with a Lexus”. By time the finance council was aware of this surprise, the units had been installed and the invoice paid. This kind of business process seems deceptive, if not bordering on fraudulent. I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking of doing business with this company should be very careful. Get bids with exact make and MODEL NUMBERS, then get competitive quotes. A word to the wise, don’t get fooled.Austin TX

He took the $60 service fee with the promise he would follow up with the company that evening and call me to make arrangements. He never called, never followed up with the HW company, and refused to take my calls or return my messages .He left me with no AC for 15 days in July.Pflugerville TX

Comments: My home warranty sent this guy Johan Quintero out to get a diagnostic on my AC which is blowing hot air. He's so lazy he doesn't want to look in the garage where the unit is location. When I insist he states he only has 45 minutes for each customer. Then he says he *thinks unit has leak which he can't see so he will have to get the "right" equipment and that's an additional charge of $150 which of course the warranty doesn't pay. Then he starts trashing the home warranty company and says the unit will most likely have to be replaced and he only charges $3500 and can fix it right away. I told him I would NOT be hiring him and to put the cover back on my unit the way he found it. This guy's a scam artist. Buyer Beware...Luckily I wasn't bitten but please read so that you aren't either. I hope this guy goes out of business....HORRIBLE person & horrible company!Pflugerville TX
