Description: A lifelong renovator, Andrew Joseph Murphy got his first experience observing his parents fix up an old farmhouse when he was six years old. Educated at the Montclair Kimberley Academy High School ('01,) and Duke University ('05,) he has also taken coursework in the field of construction management at Stevens Institute, as well as vocational carpentry training at Essex County College. Andrew has been completing construction projects in Montclair and the surrounding towns since 2002.

Andrew's interest exists in creating memorable, exciting living spaces that are a pleasure to inhabit. His projects serve the goals of function, durability, and beauty. Andrew has a particular sensibility to bring out the truest, most pure character of his building materials. His projects express logic, simplicity, complexity and profundity.
