Soak Your Showerhead to Clear Clogs, Bacteria

Sometimes your showerhead needs a bath. Try pouring white vinegar in a bag, then tying the bag over your showerhead with a rubber band. It will clear clogs and kill some bacteria. A 2009 University of Colorado study analyzed the biofilm inside showerheads and, in some samples, found high concentrations of a microbe that can cause respiratory illnesses. The microbe is safe unless aerosolized and inhaled, which can happen in the shower.
