They're cute. They're furry. Their cheeks puff out adorably when they eat nuts. Still, some people don't like chipmunks -- for good reasons. They eat flowers and fruit, and they sometimes burrow under cement structures. Fortunately, Woodbridge Environmental offers these tips to people who are struggling to control chipmunks in their yards and gardens.
- Remove the food and habitat
- Clean up fallen nuts and berries in your yard
- Minimize nesting areas, like piles of rocks and wood
- Live trap them and release them as far away as possible
- Trim back shrubs.
Of course, if they're not causing any harm, why not just enjoy having a few furry friends around?
