Green Living Tip: A Healthy Method for Cleaning Toys

Toys tend to live quite a rough and tumble life. They crash off tables, end up covered in dust under a sofa and get treated as a chew toy by babies.
This being the case, what is the best way to clean these dirty playthings? Bleach and Lysol are often go to remedies, but many parents worry about fumes or residue that could harm children.
Once again, the multi-talented vinegar comes to the rescue. A recent conversation on Hometalk looked at this issue, and came up with two healthy solutions. Simply mix white vinegar and water and either spray down toys and wipe off, or give them a soak in the sink and they will be disinfected and good to go.
With Christmas right around the corner, this should come in handy to deal with the incoming blizzard of new toys. Happy cleaning!
