Glass Block Basement Windows

A relatively easy DIY project, installing pre-fabricated glass block basement window panels provides an attractive and functional option for basement windows. Panels of glass blocks that are mortared and banded together are available in standard sizes at most home improvement centers. Options come in solid glass block or with ventilation openings (as required by some building codes) and can be easily installed with some inexpensive tools and cement. Glass blocks are secure, as they are very difficult if not impossible to break and they are attractive, letting in filtered light while maintaining privacy.
