Flickering Fluorescent Light Fixtures

Flickering fluorescent lights turn hobbies into headaches.
First check the bulbs, and then if applicable (on older models), check the starter. It might be improperly seated or need to be replaced.
For modern fluorescent lights, the fix can be as easy as changing the light bulb. On older fluorescent fixtures it might be resulting from an improperly seated starter plug (in the housing), or that the starter needs to be replaced.
If that doesn't work, check the ballast, which controls current through the light. It's easy to replace, and affordable, unless you have an older fluorescent fixture. Then it's cheaper to buy a new one.
