Electrical Tip: Don't Self-Clean Your Oven Before Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is only two days away, and we hope you've begun preparations for the big meal (or at least started to design a game plan). If part of the plan includes a last minute cleaning of your oven, think again.
Tom Kraeutler and Leslie Segrete of The Money Pit recently shared a very important tip on Hometalk about self-cleaning ovens. They point out that studies have revealed that ovens will often break or not operate properly after a self-cleaning cycle is run. Not the best thing to happen right before the holiday! So to be on the safe side, stick to good old fashioned manual cleanings this week.
