Easiest Way to Repair Nail Holes in Plaster Walls

The easiest way to repair nail holes in walls is using lightweight spackling paste, something like a putty knife and some fine sand paper (100 grit).
Trim away any loose pieces from the wall.
Stir the spackling with a puttly-like knife, take a modest amount of paste and smear it firmly over the hole without dragging too much extra onto the wall.
Let it dry and either repeat, or gently sand away access spackling.
