Design Inspiration: Staircase Storage

Rhode Island-based Architecture firm 
Oyster Works has designed a useful space saving storage solution that maximizes a typically unused space in the home.
Based on a traditional Japanese design, this staircase features a storage space and a set of pull out drawers that allow residents to stealthily stow away household gear.
It's a cleaver solution for storage in a small space that could easily be replicated by a local Providence carpenter, or in any other area where space is at a premium.
