Slide Your Furniture Across the House

As promised, it's time for another tip on what to do with scraps of carpet. The next time you need to move heavy furniture across your tile, wood or linoleum floor, grab those little pieces of rug left over from your last flooring project. Lift each leg of the object and place a scrap - pile side down - beneath the leg. Once all of the corners of the furniture have been positioned, push the furniture. It will move more easily and you won't damage your floor.
