Carpet Against Car Door Dings

When you get new carpeting, there are always little scraps leftover. Don't toss them! There are many uses for small pieces of carpet. For instance, if your garage is a tight fit, you can use a carpet scrap to safeguard your car door. Take one of those pieces of carpeting and nail it to the garage wall exactly where your car door opens. That way, if fling the door open too quickly, you'll avoid damaging the door (and the wall).
