Have you noticed how cheap solutions get co-opted by expensive retailers? People now spend upwards of $400 for a sawhorse desk. That's not how we do things at Networx. Want the look of an expensive sawhorse desk for the price of, well, a sawhorse desk? Start with a two pack of sawhorses, which should set you back about $36. Paint or stain the sawhorses a dark color. A gallon of paint will cost you a mere $15, and you'll have some left over for other projects. Then top with a reclaimed door or a large board. The door is free, and a desktop size board costs about $20 at your local lumber yard. Paint the board, and you'll have a trendy-looking sawhorse desk for $61 at the most.
